We had this same problem about a year ago. The moths come in with rice or grains and they are here to stay. But with these pheremone traps the problem is resolved fairly quickly. They attract and kill the males I believe so that the females cant produce more babies. Since they have a fairly short life, the females then die off leaving you moth free. I could have this backwards but who cares........as long as they work, and they do! I recommend placing one in the cabinet where you store cereals or rice and then several in other places throughout the house, especially the kitchen. After a month you will see that the traps are full of trapped dead moths. Quite efficient and clean.

These Catchmaster traps work. After first trying to use just a trap or two , I leaned not to skimp if you want quick results. Put a trap in every room, inside each food cabinet, and near exterior doors or other points of entry.
I buy a bundle of 12 or more for our three bedroom house, looking for the best buy at Amazon or at an Internet auction site. The traps are non-toxic and easy to assemble. You may need to wait a few days before seeing results, but you will be impressed by how many moths these catch over time.
Traps in rooms with exterior doors catch the most. I even put a trap in our fireplace because of the air entry from outside. The fireplace trap catches the most - 100+ moths in a couple months.
The traps use pheromone lures, and attract small, grey pantry moths. If you have an infestation, you will need one trap per cabinet with food. Don't neglect food storage areas: A moth in the TV room is annoying; a moth in your cereal is disgusting. I date the traps with a marker so I can quickly spot which traps are the oldest and might need to be thrown out. They seem to work for up to 4-5 months or so.
In bundles of 12 or more, the cost should be under $2 each including postage (2011 pricing). Highly recommended.

I bought these moth traps due to a persistent moth problem I have had in my house. I placed the traps all over my house and found that the best results came when they where on-top of the refrigerator.
Overall, I really like these traps, they are simple, non-toxic and really work. I have caught lots of moths and have noticed a decrease in the amount of moths in my house.

We have had a problem with pantry moths for months now. I bought these traps and set them up about 4 weeks ago. We caught around 60 moths in the first week alone! Since then, we've caught a few now and then, with none showing up for about 5 or 6 days now. I suggest combining the traps with a good cleaning out of your pantry in order to get rid of immature larvae.

Placed two of these in my kitchen where we've had Indian Meal Moths for months. Within a week, one of the traps was completely packed and the other had caught a handful. After filling up 2 traps completely, I haven't seen a single moth anywhere in the house. These things are fantastic.
